ABOUT PUFFINGMUFFIN
Candice Phang, who goes by the artist moniker, Puffingmuffin, is an artist and illustrator based in Singapore. She was trained to be an architect at the National University of Singapore, but it appears that the universe has other plans for her – Today, she draws, drinks plenty of coffee, and smothers her cats with too much love. Drawing inspiration from the unusual quirks of life, her work features a fun mix of traditional and digital medium that are fronted by playful characters in bright colours. Through her tongue-in-cheek illustration, she hopes to take life more seriously in a less serious way.
ABOUT GROW TOGETHER
Grow Together is the artist’s imaginary garden filled with quirky plants and fantastical creatures, a celebration of our planet’s rich biodiversity. In creating her artwork, Puffingmuffin was inspired by the adaptability and resilience of the natural world. It is important to protect our planet’s species. If we do not act now, we may only be left with distant memories of the flora and fauna which once thrived here.
Goal 15: Life on Land. Unless we use Earth’s resources responsibly, we deny people their future. Development should not come at the expense of other groups or later generations, nor threaten other species’ survival.
Call to Action: Nature-based climate solutions can contribute about a third of CO2 reductions by 2030. Avoid products tested on animals: Check the labels on the products you buy. #ClimateAction

BEHIND-THE-SCENES
The Moo Moo PARK artists kicked off their transformative journeys with creative technologists from MeshMinds in September 2020. The artists were first invited to attend an interactive half-day workshop on Spark AR from Facebook.
Briefed on the theme of Art x Technology x Sustainability, they used tools such as Procreate on iPad and Adobe Illustrator on Mac to create digital motifs and drawings inspired by Chinese cultural heritage, with a particular focus on the Year of the Golden Ox.
MeshMinds guided each artist to use those motifs to create wearable digital art for the face and to design murals that break out from their frames powered AR technology. To heighten each AR experience, MeshMinds’ Sound Director used Ableton Live to devise sound effects and soundscapes, consisting of industrial, nature and carnival sounds to invite people on an enlightening exploration around Moo Moo PARK.
Finally, each artist worked directly with Space Objekt to present their digital drawings as 3D installations in the car park space for this unique exhibition.

MANDARIN MOO-MENTS
Scent elements: Lemon, Grapefruit, Green leaves, Mandarin tea, Orange blossom, Plum, Guaiacwood, and White Musk.
Mandarin Moo-ments is a signature scent designed by Equal Strategy. To create a multisensory dimension to the Moo Moo PARK experience “Sensory Guru”, Simon Faure-Field, used a vibrant burst of mandarin tea and orange blossom wrapped in green leaves to highlight and enhance the practise of giving mandarin oranges to loved ones. This is a symbolic way of wishing someone happiness and prosperity.
The bottom notes of the signature scent use white musk and Guaiacwood (‘gwy-ack’-wood), which translates to the tree of life, creating an intriguing air to the exclusive fragrance concept.
To create the beautiful experience, a special technology vaporises the fine fragrance to a dry mist with the ability to regulate the fragrance intensity so it’s not too strong nor too light.
Alongside the signature scent, you are also being kept safe by Eco Pure Room. Located in the rear of each electric vehicle, visitors stay safe with the world’s leading, ‘always on’, low cost, airborne sanitising technology to eradicate germs and viruses, including COVID-19.
Using NEA (National Environment Agency) and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) approved ingredients, Eco Pure Room’s formula is recognised as safe and effective for all of our visitors.
To purchase Mandarin Moo-ments for your home or car, place your order at the online shop www.equalstrategy.com/moo-moo-park.

Equipped with tools, inspiration and resources, Spark AR from Facebook allows anyone to take self-expression to a whole new level. Whether you want to make a selfie filter or create an interactive scene with a world effect, Spark AR from Facebook invites you to widen your imagination to create engaging and memorable experiences through augmented reality.

SUSTAINABILITY
Moo Moo PARK highlights how bringing together artists, technologists, and environmentalists can spark conversations and drive positive action towards a greener and more sustainable planet.
We have worked with inspiring partners to carry out Moo Moo PARK’s mission to promote clean air solutions and actions for nature that everyone can adopt.
CLEAN AIR
Clean air is important for the health and day-to-day lives of people. While air pollution is the single greatest environmental risk to human health, it is also one of the main avoidable causes of death and disease globally. Organised under the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Asia Pacific Clean Air Partnership (APCAP) was established in 2015 as a mechanism and platform to promote coordination and collaboration among various clean air initiatives in the region.
With our partnership with UNEP and APCAP, we are calling for action towards a future with clean air for all. Everyone is affected by the health and environmental crisis brought by air pollution alone, yet the devastating impacts fall heavily on the most vulnerable – children, women, the elderly, and the people living in poverty.
In fact, 92% of the entire Asian population is exposed to unhealthy levels of air pollution. Across East Asia and Pacific, around 23,000 newborn deaths were associated with air pollution in 2019 alone. No one should die from dirty air. From 2020, every 7 September shall be observed as the International Day of Clean Air for blue skies. Join us in taking positive action to #BeatAirPollution.

ABOUT TOBYATO
Toby Tan (b. 1994) is an illustrator and visual artist, who goes by his artist moniker, “Tobyato”. Apart from focusing on illustrator and public art, Tobyato has also been commissioned with companies like Netflix, Uniqlo, Levi’s, and ASICS among others, and was highlighted as a featured artist in the local campaigns of G-Shock and Adidas. More recently, he has worked on some large-scale public artworks in Singapore, including several basketball court murals and a large floor mural covering a portion of the iconic Somerset Skatepark.
ABOUT WU XING (FIVE ELEMENTS)
Wu Xing (Five Elements) is inspired by the traditional elements in Chinese philosophy – wood, fire, earth, metal, and water and their significance in the lunar calendar. Each element is associated with an animal from the Chinese zodiac. The year, 2021, marks the Year of the Golden (Metal) Ox. Celebrating the Year of the Ox reminds us of the importance of maintaining our traditions whilst living in a modern city like Singapore.
Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. Protecting cultural heritage is a driver of sustainable development in modern cities. With one in every three people expected to be living in cities by 2030, Goal 11 emphasises the need to safeguard our cultural heritage in the midst of growing urbanisation and industrialisation.
Call to Action: Support our local arts and cultural groups. Participate in the performances, exhibitions to gain a new perspective of the world around you. Did you know that the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre supports our local arts community through commissioned works and offering affordable programmes to the public? You can support its work by donating to SCCC. #CultureAlive

ABOUT ALMOSTASTHMA
Almostasthma (b.1991) is the moniker of Singapore-based illustrator/artist, Toh Bee Suan, who works mainly in digital mediums to create wacky, eccentric and trippy artworks. When not drawing, she also enjoys sewing and poking pictures into people’s skin. Bee Suan graduated from Lasalle College of the Arts – BA with (Hons) Fine Art and has experience working as a graphic designer. She has been featured locally and internationally, such as at Taipei Art Book Fair 2019 and Singapore Art Week 2019. She also sells her kooky illustrations as pins and stickers to fund her daily necessity of kopi C siewdai.
ABOUT GO CONFIDENTLY! INTO YOUR DREAMS!
Go confidently! Into your dreams! is inspired by early posters from the People’s Republic of China that often-used pictures of smiling children to express visions of a new future and society. Imagine yourself as the child on the ox. How can we ‘build back greener’ to conserve nature and ensure sustainability?
Goal 13: Climate Action. Sustainability, mobility, and identity are parts of the ecological balance equation. Singapore aims to phase out petrol and diesel vehicles by 2040, so as to cut greenhouse gas emissions and fight climate change.
Call to Action: Do your part by taking greener transport such as electric vehicles or using public transport wherever you can. Together, we can #BeatAirPollution.

TAURUS FOREST BY MITHRA

Scan the QR code to experience the artwork in AR
ABOUT MITHRA
Mithra (b.1994) is a visual artist, whose practice is strongly influenced by what the amygdala stands for. She creates fictional landscapes that are intimately bound up to represent the interior of her mind. Having graduated from Lasalle College of the Arts with a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours), she has participated in the Facebook Artist in Residence program and had her works shown in various group exhibitions.
ABOUT TAURUS FOREST
Taurus Forest is based on the symbolism of the ox in many cultures around the world. Mithra was inspired by the practice of painting horns in India, Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet. She also noticed that many traditional Asian tattoo designs often use animals to represent nature’s raw power. In this work, Mithra has re-imagined the natural habitat of the gaur, the world’s largest wild cattle – which is native to Southeast Asia.
Goal 15: Life on Land. Stopping biodiversity loss is essential for the future health of our planet. While about 30,000 gaurs still exist in the wild in South and Southeast Asia, their population is declining because of habitat loss and illegal hunting for their horns.
Call to Action: Always check the source of an item before making a purchase. Avoid any item made of endangered animals’ parts. It’s time #ForNature.

ABOUT ANTZ
ANTZ (b.1982) is one of the Singapore urban art scene’s mainstay talents, having been continuously practicing creative since 1999. Equipped with a strong understanding of design and a ubiquitous obsession for the Chinese culture and aesthetic, ANTZ continues to walk the art world reaching most of Southeast Asia, China, North America, and Europe and in the process have successfully carved out a niche of diverse and notable clientele.
ABOUT THROUGH THE STORM
Through the Storm is inspired by the Dragon King, the Chinese water-and-weather god who controls all creatures in the sea. In this artwork, the ox is seated amidst turbulent waves surrounded by a blue-green dragon. Both the ox and dragon are known for their strength. No matter how turbulent the waters or winds may be, may we find strength to secure a safe and sustainable future for all.
Goal 14: Life Below Water. Cities in Southeast Asia contribute more than half of the 8 million tonnes of plastic materials entering our oceans every year. If this continues, our oceans could contain more plastic than fish by 2050.
Call to Action: Bring your own reusable bag to the shops, carry a reusable water bottle, refuse plastic cutlery and understand how single-use plastic can destroy precious marine life. Take action to #BeatPlasticPollution.

ABOUT HOWIE KIM
Howie Kim (b.1990) is a part of an emerging generation that has known nothing but the now universal paradigm of the Internet. Kim’s whimsical style of works has allowed him to work with commercial establishments, such as Universal Music Group Singapore, producing singles and album artworks, as well as animated music videos for the local musician, Gentlebones. His works are also published in several magazines and was commissioned by IWC Schaffhausen Southeast Asia to create a series of illustrations and videos for ICON Singapore, in commemoration of IWC’s 150th Anniversary.
ABOUT NIU NIU
Niu Niu is inspired by the ancient Chinese philosophy of maintaining a balanced outlook in life. Replacing the traditional yin-yang symbol with the two oxen, Howie highlights the natural balance in an ecosystem as we ‘build back greener’ in the new year. The gaur, a type of wild cattle native to Southeast Asia, is endangered due to habitat loss caused by the clearing of forests. How should we lead our lives, so that all living things can benefit now and in the future?
Goal 15: Life on Land. The world’s forests, swamps, plains, lakes, and other habitats continue to disappear as they are harvested for human consumption and cleared for agriculture, housing, roads, pipelines and the industrial needs.
Call to Action: Did you know that NParks has set up the Garden City Fund – a platform for the community to be involved in conservation, research, outreach and education initiatives related to our natural heritage? Volunteer or donate to the cause, if you can. Pledge for a life that is #BetterWithForests

BLOSSOM BY ANDRÉ WEE
Listen to the artist’s view on their work
Scan the QR code to experience the artwork in AR
ABOUT ANDRÉ WEE
André Wee (b.1989) is an experimental illustrator that jumps between both the virtual and physical world when he creates his craft. The works that he creates blend Technology with Art as André discovers newer ways of engaging with his viewers with creative storytelling and imagery. Aside from putting pencil to paper and pushing digital paint across a virtual canvas, André hides animated layers within the physical world through Augmented reality where he embeds narratives within his illustrations. André has worked with notable clients such as Apple, Google, Facebook’s Oculus, The UN and the New York Times and is frequently involved with the environmental awareness efforts through ‘Art and Technology ‘ with the MeshMinds Foundation.
ABOUT BLOSSOM
Blossom is inspired by plum blossoms (meihua, 梅花), which are popular in Chinese painting and poetry. The ox is paired with plum blossoms because both symbolise ‘perseverance’ in Chinese culture. The ox looks up as if waking from slumber and looking forward to the new year. In 2021, how will we persevere, and ‘blossom’ with new hopes and dreams?
Goal 13: Climate Action. Global warming causes long-lasting changes to our climate system. This has a negative impact on fruit trees, such as the plum, and significant consequences on overall food production and security.
Call to Action: Slow down global warming by taking greener transport such as public transport or electric vehicles. Together, we can #BeatAirPollution.
